HACCP for Building Water Systems - NSF - SETRI vai estar presente

HACCP methodology is a structured, systematic, cost-effective paradigm best known for its successful, widespread use in food safety. HACCP is used to identify specific hazards and specify measures for their control.  HACCP is mandated in the US for certain food production processes and is used voluntarily for many more; it has become the standard for food safety management systems around the world.  The adaptation of HACCP to building water systems has proven effective for preventing injury and illness.  In keeping with the mission of NSF International, to protect and improve human health and safety, NSF now offers education, training and certification courses in HACCP for Building Water Systems.

William F. McCoy, PhD, is Co-Founder of Phigenics LLC, a solutions provider for problems associated with building water systems. He serves as the Chief Technology Officer. Dr. McCoy has authored more than 100 scientific articles including 29 issued US patents (all with international equivalents) and 8 book chapters.  His book, Preventing Legionellosis, was published by The International Water Association in 2005. His work has been recognized with a number of awards, including:

    and Science (Berlin  2001)
  • Inventor of the Year Award
    from the Intellectual Property Law Association (USA 2001)
  • Grand Prize
    Technical Innovation Trophy from the SUEZ Group (Brussels 2000)

Aaron A. Rosenblatt is a Principal of Gordon & Rosenblatt, LLC, an independent consulting firm specializing in matters involving chemical disinfection, with an emphasis on public drinking water supplies and microbial risk management in building water systems. Mr. Rosenblatt has served on the Board of the International Ozone Association-Pan American Group (IOA-PAG).  He also has served as a member of the American Water Works Association (AWWA) Disinfection and Disinfectants Committees and the Microbial and Disinfection By-Product (M/DBP) Technical Advisory Workgroup during regulatory negotiations for USEPA M/DBP Rule II.  He is a past Trustee of the Chemists’ Club of New York and past Chairman of the Chemists’ Club Library.  Mr. Rosenblatt has authored more than twenty issued US patents, with international equivalents. He is also the author of a number of scientific and technical papers.
