Nelson Marlborough Public Health Service (PHS) are investigating air-conditioning cooling towers in the Riverlands Industrial Estate area on the outskirts of Blenheim in an attempt to find the source of Legionella.
Nelson Marlborough Medical Officer of Health Dr Ed Kiddle said, "The Riverlands Industrial Estate area was common to all three confirmed cases of Legionellosis and in addition through our inquiries we have found three suspected cases of the disease with links to this area.
